gopchop software package provides fast, lossless cuts-only editor for MPEG2 video files, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gopchop
gopchop is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gopchop package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gopchop *
You will get with gopchop package name, version, architecture and description in a table
